Insurance & payment
Insurance and Payment Options
We accept specific vision and medical plans. Here's what's covered and how billing works.
Insurance plans we accept
We accept traditional Medicare with a supplement plan. Medicare Advantage plans (Medicare Part C, offered through private insurers such as Humana, UnitedHealthcare and Aetna) are not accepted at this office.
Not sure if your plan is accepted? Call us at (706) 419-9240 before your visit.
No insurance?
You can still schedule and self-pay
You don't need insurance to see our doctors. Book your eye exam or contact lens exam like any other patient and pay for your visit yourself. Call us if you have questions about self-pay before your visit.
Vision plans
Routine eye exams
Vision plans cover routine eye examinations and sometimes part of a contact lens fitting fee. You're responsible for co-pays and any fees your plan doesn't cover.
Medical plans
Eye problems and conditions
Medical insurance covers visits for problems such as red eye, eye pain, infections, dry eye, diabetic eye exams, flashes and floaters, and glaucoma.
Out-of-network plans
We don't submit claims to out-of-network insurance. We'll give you an itemized receipt to submit yourself. Reimbursement is between you and your insurance company, and we can't guarantee it.
We're happy to explain your benefits based on the type of exam you need.
